The Arizona Interscholastic Association, Inc., (AIA) Executive Board hereby posts the position of Executive Director. This position serves as Chief Executive Officer of the AIA, a not-for-profit 501(c)(3) private corporation. The AIA serves 284 public and private member high schools in Arizona.
Job Goal: To carry out the aims and objectives of the sport program as outlined by the head coach and school administration. To instruct athletes in individual and team fundamentals, strategy and physical training necessary to realize a degree of individual and team success
Duties and Responsibilities:
Has a thorough knowledge of all the athletic policies approved by the Board of Education and is responsible for implementation
Has knowledge of the existing school district, state and region regulations; implements same consistently
Understands the proper administrative line of command and refers all students and parent requests or grievances through proper channels
Is aware of all public/staff/departmental meetings that require attendance
Maintains discipline and works to increase morale and cooperation within the school sports program and school community

Stipend Range: $3,500 - $4,179 DOE
Qualifications: Valid Arizona Teacher Certification or Substitute Certificate required. Employment as a teacher at the Catalina Foothills School District preferred. Must have ability to organize and supervise a total sports program. Should possess substantial knowledge of the technical aspects of the sport and, at the same time, continue to examine new theories and procedures pertinent to the field. Must be CPR and First Aid certified. Must have a current IVP fingerprint clearance card without restrictions. Must have a current Arizona driver’s license and clean driving record and be willing & able to drive a district vehicle (SUV or mini-bus) to games and serve as the supervising adult.
