ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
Instructs athletes in the fundamental skills, strategy and training necessary to achieve individual and team success while promoting the Pursuing Victory with Honor Program as well as maintaining discipline, handling grievances, and working to increase morale and cooperation.
Establishes the fundamental philosophy, skills and techniques to be taught by her/his staff and supervises and assists in evaluating the performance of this staff and the overall functioning of the specific sports’ program.
Assists the athletic director in finding and retaining coaches in her/his sport, scheduling athletic contests in the sport, promoting the sport among the school community and the public at large, and making changes and enhancements to the specific sport’s program at the school.
Assures that the venue for her/his sport is safe and all equipment is within regulation, safe, properly maintained and inventoried.
Assists in the coordination of the supervision of student-athletes in her/his sport’s program in all areas of play, locker rooms, and any other venue used by the sport.
Maintains appropriate and open communication with faculty, staff, and parents regarding the sport for which she/he is responsible; helps advise student-athletes concerning academics in conjunction with appropriate faculty and staff; assists in the process for college recruiting and scholarship applications in conjunction with the athletic director and guidance staff.
Performs other job-related tasks deemed necessary or as requested by the principal or the athletic director.

Scottsdale Prep is seeking a reliable, energetic, and enthusiastic High School Sports Announcer to serve as the voice of our home athletic competitions. This individual will play an important role in creating a fun and engaging game-day atmosphere for our athletes, fans, and community.
Responsibilities Include:
Providing live commentary and announcements during home games (primarily football, volleyball, basketball, and soccer)
Announcing starting lineups, player substitutions, timeouts, scores, and other relevant in-game information
Promoting sportsmanship, school spirit, and a positive environment through professional and appropriate commentary
Coordinating with the athletic department and game-day staff for timing, logistics, and scripts
Ensuring announcements align with school values and league regulations
Operating the microphone/sound system (training provided if necessary)
Qualifications:
Strong speaking voice and clear enunciation
Comfortable speaking in front of large crowds
Punctual, dependable, and professional
Prior experience with public speaking, announcing, or broadcasting is a plus, but not required
Ability to commit to select home games during the fall, winter, and/or spring seasons

Essential Functions:
Must advise, coordinate and support the sport staff with the athletic director and principal, to instruct athletes in the fundamental skills, strategy and physical training necessary for them to realize a degree of individual and team success. At the same time, the students shall receive instruction that will lead to the formulation of moral values, pride of accomplishment, acceptable social behavior, self-discipline and self-confidence.
Stipend Range: $3,100 - $3,702 DOE
Qualifications: Valid Arizona Teacher Certification or Substitute Certificate required. Employment as a teacher with the Catalina Foothills School District preferred. Must have ability to organize and supervise a total sports program. Should possess substantial knowledge of the technical aspects of the sport and, at the same time, continue to examine new theories and procedures pertinent to the field. Must be CPR and First Aid certified. Must have a current IVP Level One fingerprint clearance card without restrictions. Must have a current Arizona driver’s license and clean driving record and be willing & able to drive a district vehicle (SUV or mini-bus) to games and serve as the supervising adult.
