Position Overview:
ALA Radiance, a new and growing school, is seeking dedicated and passionate basketball coaches to build and lead our high school basketball program from the ground up. This is a unique opportunity for a high-character individual who is excited about establishing a competitive, positive, and values-driven culture.

Key Responsibilities:
Help build and develop the boys basketball program, including establishing team culture and expectations
Plan, organize, and lead all practices, games, and off-season development
Assist in develop and implement effective game strategies and player development plans
Foster sportsmanship, teamwork, leadership, and character development
Promote and model ALA’s R.A.I.S.E. values in all interactions
Monitor academic progress and support student success in the classroom
Collaborate with athletic department staff, school leadership, and families
Coordinate scheduling, team events, and travel logistics
Ensure compliance with school, district, and state athletic regulations
Manage equipment and support program growth and needs
Qualifications:
Previous coaching experience at the high school or club level preferred
Strong knowledge of basketball fundamentals, strategy, and program building
Proven leadership and ability to establish a positive team culture
Excellent communication and organizational skills
Passion for mentoring student-athletes and building character
CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain)
Must pass background check and meet school employment requirements
Preferred Qualifications:
Prior coaching experience
Experience starting or rebuilding a program
