JV Football Game Needed

Snowflake HS is looking to fill out their  JV Football schedule.  We currently have open dates on Thursday, September 10th or Septhember 23rd. 

The Lobo JV team is made up of mainly sophomores that are not getting significant playing time on Varsity.  Occasionally we will bring up a Freshman for further development and drop a few Juniors that is not getting playing time on varsity.

17th Annual Snowflake "Be Like Nat" Volleyball Invitational

Snowflake High School is currently looking for 2-3 more schools to fill out our Invitational

We renamed our VB Invitational after Natalie Elkins Shumway. Natalie Elkins Shumway passed away March 23, 2021. NAT was a 3-sport athlete (Volleyball, Girls Basketball, and Softball) at Snowflake HS and she graduated in 2012. She went on to play 2-years of volleyball at Mesa Community College and earned her Bachelor's Degree from Northern Arizona University. We are going to rename the Invitational the Snowflake "Be Like NAT" Volleyball Invitational, which means be kind and friendly to all you come in contact with.

Teams that participated in 2024: Gold Champion – Snowflake HS, Gold Runner-up – Red Mountain HS, Silver Champion – Safford HS, Silver Runner-up – Round Valley HS and the remaining schools that attended: Alchesay HS; Blue Ridge HS; Chinle HS; Holbrook HS; Pima HS; Show Low HS; St. Johns HS; Thatcher HS; Tuba City HS; Winslow HS and Youngker HS.

2026 Snowflake “Be Like NAT” Volleyball Invitational

DATE: September 18-19, 2026 Every team is guaranteed 5 matches

All matches are 2 of 3 rally games (Games 1 and 2 to 21 and if needed 3rd game to 15)

Preliminary Pools: Round Robin pool play played on Friday, September 18th. If we have 15 teams we will use 3 Pools of 5 schools or if we have 16 teams we will use 4 pools of 4 schools.

Tournament Round: Teams will be broken into two Brackets from Pool Play results:

Gold Bracket: will be the top 8 teams from the three/four Pool Play Groups.

Silver Bracket: will be the bottom 7or 8 teams from the three/four Pool Play Groups.

Tiebreaker for the #3 seeds seeding to either the Gold or the Silver bracket on the next page.

Awards: Gold Bracket: 1st Place team will receive a Trophy, Individual Medals and Champions T-Shirt for each player and the 2nd Place in the Gold Bracket will receive a Runner-up Plaque.

Silver Bracket: the Silver Bracket Champion and Runners-up will receive a Plaque.

Officials: All matches on both days will have certified AIA officials.

Friday: Pool Play will only have one AIA Official on the stand; line judges will be Snowflake HS JV & Freshman VB players; and score table will be adults from the community.

Saturday: Tournament will have two AIA Officials; line judges will be adults from the community and score table will be adults from the community.

Athletic Trainer: We DO NOT have a trainer on staff, so your coaches will need to do pre-game preparations with your athletes. We will be happy to provide your team with injury ice.

Basketball: Southwest Food Excellence Winter Classic 2026-27

Chinle High School will be hosting our Southwest Food Excellence Winter Classic Tournament this year from December 17th-19th, 2026. 

8-Teams. We will do one game a day, 3-game guarantee, bracket play. All in the Wildcat Den.

The cost for the tournament is $350.00.

2026 Damian Lillard Classic

Oakland (CA) High School

2026 Damian Lillard Classic: 16 teams. Entrance fee waived for out-of-state teams, 4 games guaranteed, competitive teams, great facilities, free t-shirts for players, and a hospitality room.

The dates are Dec. 26th to Dec. 30th and will be played at Oakland High in Oakland, CA.
