Qualifications
- Master’s Degree
- Arizona Secondary Administration Certificate
- Must have at least three years of administrative experience at a minimum level of assistant principal in the secondary school or administrative experience on the state level
- Sufficient knowledge in coordinating state level competitions in all sports
- Strong leadership, administrative, presentation and public speaking skills
- Human relations and communication skills required to interact effectively with AIA member schools and constituencies
- Computer literacy and hands-on computer skills
- Evaluation skills
Major Duties & Responsibilities
- Provide leadership and vision to the overall operation of the Arizona Interscholastic Association
- Interpret and apply AIA bylaws, policies and procedures
- Respond to member school questions
- Direct annual Bylaw workshops throughout the state
- AIA liaison to member schools
- Oversee new school applications and site visits
- Participate in conference, region, and National committees
- Liaison to the AIAAA
- Participate in all Hardship and Executive Board appeals
- Interpret National Federation playing rules
- Regularly attend regular and post season contests
- Coordination and facilitation of AIA State Tournaments
- Employee Evaluations
- Additional areas of responsibility as determined by the AIA Executive Director

Full-time position, 12 months, Exempt
