Position Summary:
St. Augustine Catholic High School is seeking a Head Tennis Coach for both the Boys and Girls programs. The Head Coach is responsible for leading, developing, and overseeing all aspects of the tennis program in alignment with the school’s mission, values, and athletic philosophy.
Responsibilities:
Plan and lead daily practices and match-day preparation
Coach and develop student-athletes in skill, strategy, sportsmanship, and teamwork
Oversee both Boys and Girls tennis seasons, including scheduling and communication
Maintain team discipline and uphold school and league policies
Communicate effectively with athletes, parents, and Athletic Administration
Ensure athlete safety and proper supervision at all practices and competitions
Assist with equipment management and facility use as needed
Qualifications:
Tennis coaching experience preferred (high school or competitive level)
Strong knowledge of tennis fundamentals, rules, and match strategy
Ability to work positively with high school students
Strong communication and organizational skills
Must meet all school and diocesan requirements (background check, fingerprint clearance, and training)
Compensation:
This is a paid, seasonal position. Coach will be contracted as an independent contractor.
