Job Description: Empire High School is seeking a dedicated and experienced Varsity Head Coach to lead our athletic program with integrity, passion, and excellence. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the varsity team, including training, development, and mentoring student-athletes while fostering a competitive and positive team culture.

Key Responsibilities:

Qualifications:

Required:

  • Prior coaching experience at the high school, club, or collegiate level.
  • Strong knowledge of the sport’s fundamentals, rules, and strategies.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to foster a positive and inclusive team environment.
  • CPR/First Aid certification or willingness to obtain.
  • Must pass a background check as required by the school district.

 

Preferred:

  • Bachelor's degree in Education, Sports Management, or a related field.
  • Previous experience as a varsity or assistant coach.
