Seton Catholic Preparatory is seeking dedicated, motivated, and student-centered individuals to serve as Head Coaches for the following programs:

• Boys Beach Volleyball (Fall)
• Wrestling (Winter)
• Girls Beach Volleyball (Spring)
• Boys Volleyball (Spring)

Successful candidates will be responsible for leading all aspects of their respective programs while promoting academic achievement, character development, sportsmanship, and competitive excellence consistent with the school's charisms of Courage, Determination, Faith, and Love.

We are seeking coaches who demonstrate strong leadership, integrity, and a passion for positively impacting student-athletes in a Catholic school environment. Ideal candidates will build meaningful relationships with students, parents, staff, and the broader Seton community while fostering a culture of accountability, commitment, and respect. Candidates should have knowledge of their sport's fundamentals, technical skill development, training methods, program development, and athlete safety.

Responsibilities include organizing and supervising all levels of the program, planning and conducting practices, overseeing offseason development, monitoring academic progress, maintaining compliance with school and AIA athletic policies, and serving as a positive role model for student-athletes both on and off the field of competition.

Applicants must possess or be able to obtain the following prior to hire:

• Valid Fingerprint Clearance Card (IVP)
• Diocese of Phoenix Safe Environment Training Certificate

The following requirements must be completed prior to the season of sport starting:

• CPR Certification
• First Aid Certification
• AED Certification
• AIA Fundamentals of Coaching Certification
• AIA Sportsmanship Certification
• AIA Concussion Course Certification
• AIA Weight Management Certification (Wrestling applicants only)

Previous coaching experience is preferred.

Qualifications: Must have experience coaching and/or participating in the assigned sport; must have knowledge and background in assigned sport; must have participated in professional development activities in pedagogy and methodology of assigned sport; must have a valid Level One IVP fingerprint clearance card issued by Arizona DPS; must be CPR certified prior to second full season; must be able and willing to drive District vehicle to transport student athletes to athletic events and serve as the team's supervising adult; must have a valid Arizona driver's license with a clean driving record.

Dobson High School is seeking a talented and high-energy JV & Freshman Pom Coach to join our Spiritline staff. This role is essential for developing the foundational dance skills, precision, and performance quality of our younger athletes. We are looking for a coach who can blend technical dance training with the spirit and tradition of Dobson High.

Key Responsibilities

• Technical Instruction: Lead practices focused on pom technique, including turns (pirouettes, a la secondes), leaps, jumps, and synchronized arm placements.

• Choreography: Create or teach engaging, age-appropriate pom and halftime routines for football and basketball games.

• Game Day Leadership: Supervise and direct the JV and Freshman squads at athletic events, ensuring they are prepared, professional, and spirited.

• Program Alignment: Work under the direction of the Varsity Head Coach to ensure a cohesive style and skill progression across all levels of the Pom program.

• Academic & Conduct Monitoring: Ensure student-athletes maintain grade eligibility and represent Dobson High School with integrity.

Qualifications

• Dance Background: Strong experience in Pom, Jazz, or Commercial Dance (studio, high school, or collegiate experience preferred).

• Instructional Skills: Ability to break down complex counts and movements for developing dancers.

• Certifications:

  • Valid Arizona Fingerprint Clearance Card.

  • NFHS Fundamentals of Coaching & AACCA/NFHS Spirit Safety Certification.

  • First Aid/CPR certification.

• Leadership: Exceptional organizational skills and the ability to inspire confidence and discipline in freshmen and sophomore students.

• Technical Instruction: Teach and refine motions, jumps, stunting progressions, and tumbling with a heavy emphasis on proper technique.

• Game Day Presence: Lead the JV squad during football and basketball games, ensuring high energy and crowd engagement.

• Safety Oversight: Implement and enforce rigorous safety standards for all stunting and physical activity; ensure all athletes are following proper progressions.

• Collaboration: Work closely with the Varsity Head Coach to ensure vertical alignment in cheers, choreography, and program values.

• Supervision: Manage the squad during practices, away games, and school events, maintaining a high standard of conduct.

Qualifications

• Technical Knowledge: Strong background in cheerleading (sideline and/or competitive) with a solid understanding of NFHS spirit rules.

• Safety First: Knowledge of stunting progressions and safety protocols is non-negotiable.

• Certifications: * Valid Arizona Fingerprint Clearance Card.

  • NFHS Fundamentals of Coaching

• Character: Must be a positive role model with the ability to manage team dynamics and conflict with maturity.
