Head coaches will be responsible for leading all aspects of their programs while promoting academic achievement, character development, sportsmanship, and competitive excellence consistent with the school’s charisms of Courage, Determination, Faith, and Love. Event coaches will work under the direction of the head coach to develop athletes in their specialty area through technical instruction, individualized training, and meet preparation.
We are seeking coaches who demonstrate strong leadership, integrity, and a passion for positively impacting student-athletes in a Catholic school environment. Ideal candidates will build meaningful relationships with students, parents, staff, and the broader Seton community while fostering a culture of accountability, commitment, and respect. Candidates should have knowledge of their sport or event, including fundamentals, technical skill development, training methods, and athlete safety.
Responsibilities include planning and conducting practices, supporting offseason development, monitoring academic progress, maintaining compliance with school and AIA athletic policies, and serving as a positive role model for student-athletes. Head coaches will also organize and supervise all levels of their program.
Applicants must possess or be able to obtain a valid Fingerprint Clearance Card (IVP) prior to hire.
Previous coaching experience is preferred.

Key Responsibilities

Manages uniforms, equipment and school facilities for the purpose of maintaining items in a responsible and safe manner.
Monitors student athletes' academic eligibility for the purpose of both complying with AIA requirements as well as providing appropriate intervention (e.g. counseling, tutoring, etc.) to students identified as needing assistance to maintain their athletic eligibility.

Work Environment

The trainer will provide prevention, assessment, treatment, and rehabilitation services for athletic injuries and illnesses in accordance with applicable laws, professional standards, and district policies.
Essential Duties

Provide athletic training services for practices, games, and other school-sponsored athletic activities.

Evaluate injuries and illnesses, provide appropriate immediate care, and refer students to medical professionals when needed.

Develop and implement injury-prevention, conditioning, rehabilitation, and return-to-play plans in coordination with students, families, coaches, and healthcare providers.

Maintain accurate, confidential records of injuries, treatments, referrals, and clearances.

Communicate with school staff, families, coaches, and healthcare professionals regarding student-athlete care, consistent with privacy requirements.

Monitor and maintain athletic training supplies, equipment, and treatment areas.

Support emergency action planning and help coordinate responses to athletic emergencies.

Follow district policies, professional standards, and applicable state and federal requirements.

Perform other related duties as assigned.
