David Hines

Executive Director

David is an Arizona native and a graduate of Tempe High School (1973), Mesa Community College (1975) and Arizona State University (ASU). David earned his bachelor of arts in education in 1977 from ASU and his Masters Degree in Educational Leadership from Nova University in 1992.

David joined the AIA in July 2008 after a 30 year career as an educator, track, cross country and football coach, and administrator in the Mesa School District. David was fortunate to coach two state championship and five state runner-up teams in cross country and track before becoming the Athletic Director at Mesa Mountain View High School. During his tenure at Mountain View, Sports Illustrated recognized the school as one of the top 25 athletic programs in the country.

David became the Executive Director of the AIA July 1, 2017.
